Creative Collaborative Community

Why Common Turf?
Are you a visual artist who wants to work with a games company?

A musician who would like to work with a web designer or an actor?

Do you work on your own but would like to be part of a creative team?

Where do you start to collaborate outside your community?

If you are looking for new projects or you are looking for other people to bring skills to your project then becoming a member of Common Turf is where you can make these links.

In the changing cultural economy, creative people have expressed both a desire and a need to widen the opportunity for engagement with other individuals, groups and businesses. This has driven the development of the Common Turf Programme. There is no cost to participate in Common Turf - membership is free.

What is Common Turf made of?
Common Turf is shaping up to be a creative, collaborative community made up of diverse individuals and groups. Submitting your project to Common Turf puts you in the middle of a thriving creative workspace designed to help invigorate your practice. You’ll have an online place to discuss with your collaborators and new creative companions. You’ll be able to show video, images and information in a public or private space and add news and progress reports about the project.

You'll collaborate and network with other creative individuals and communities from across Scotland and beyond; you can receive invaluable feedback from other members and reach new audiences. You can ask questions about the collaborative process and learn from case studies and archived projects.

You'll also have free access to a team of expert advisers, topical events and specific information about the practicalities of collaboration.

Common Turf will be a real live community
Common Turf is a place where diverse and sometimes remote creative communities can come together and have a private or a public place to create working relationships.

There will also be a series of live events and dialogue supported with an organically evolving website. Submit your email above and you will be kept in touch with the Common Turf community.
